Relax - we have. Setting up a website can be daunting if you've never done it before. It can sound simple and some of it is common sense. It may help to start with our worksheet and focus on answering a few basic questions. Like - what do you want the website to do for you? Who are the likely users (your target audience)? What sorts of things do you want them to be able to do? These are all covered in a bit more detail in our worksheet.
Once you've worked your way through our worksheet you'll have a pretty good idea of what you want your website to achieve for you. Some other important things you'll also need to consider is the time commitment, investment and support you will need to contribute to the project in order to make it a success. We have outlined these in our getting started page.
That really depends on the size and complexity of the project, and how ready you are to provide the content (text and images) it needs to show. A basic website typically takes around 4 to 6 weeks from beginning to end.
This also depends on the size and complexity of your website and what you want it to do. To give you an idea our basic websites range from $3,500-$5,000 (excl. GST).
We are able to help you get this set up. We are not a hosting comapny but can offer you various cost-effective hosting packages through our preferred suppliers and may also be able to work with your existing provider.
Yes - we'll give you an easy way to make straight-forward changes and edits yourself. Our service includes all the training you need to be able to do this. And our ongoing care policy means we take care of all the technical and security updates plus can be there when you need us for more complex changes.

WordPress powers over 27% of the entire Internet. Being Open Source means that its widely supported technology that is well understood. Your site is future-proofed since any developer can work with the site. It also means that there is a massive community of developers working on making plugins (modular pieces of software) to add functionality to it. Its the platform that companies like the New York Times use for their blog. And its so simple to use - even clients can use it!

Search Engine Optimisation is what you do to your website to help get it higher up in the search results (rankings). The higher up the results pages your website appears, the more site visits and customers)you’re likely to get.
There's a number of things required to get good search enginge performance. One of the most important is the copy (words) on your website. Well written, keyword rich and appropriate content that targets your prospective audience is key. And it is vital to support this with specific website functionality that helps the search engines recognise and index your site effectively.
We can help you get started, point you to some training and do some basic editing for you. It's not our prime area of expertise, so beyond that we recommend engaging a professional copywriter.
If you have an existing logo we can help you get it ready for the web. But we focus on what we are best at - designing and building easy to manage websites. We can recommend several graphic designers who specialise in this area.
